Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 13 and Day 14(W2)

Yes Weekend happened and what I feared happened, I went off the track. Saturday was not bad, but Sunday was a complete disaster in the sense that I ate sugar. But i am not feeling guilty about it, it was a conscious choice i made, it was festival which comes only once a year and I didn't want to miss eating the food that is so related to my childhood and in fact feeds my soul. I tried to control myself and not binge eat though.

Monday is a new day and I am very determined to continue with the diet.

Breakfast
Oatmeal +peanut butter+coconut shavings + some red bell pepper and carrots

Snack 1
None

Lunch
Idli and Sambhar(Veggies)

Snack 2
Cashew and Coconuts
Dinner

Additional Notes -

Day 14 food diary doesn't exist because I ate whatever i wanted to eat.

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 12(W2)


Breakfast
Oatmeal +peanut butter+coconut shavings + some red bell pepper and carrots

Snack 1
Hummus and Veggies

Lunch
Sprouted grain tortilla+ avocado+ arugula+ bell pepper

Snack 2
Hummus and Veggies

Dinner
Cauliflower Manchurian

Exercise 

None

Additional Notes -
I had a mild cold today, lots of sneezing and congestion and all I wanted to eat was Carbs; was so about to eat a pizza but controlled myself and made cauliflower Manchurian. I am happy that I made a better choice.

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 11(W2)

Day 2 of Phase 2, I am still doing fine. Yesterday I picked bits and pieces from my daughter's plate, i know its cheating but hey anything to keep me on track, it was so minimal that I hope it doesn't count.

Breakfast
Veggie Omelete(egg whites) + Lime juice(no Stevia today)

Snack 1
Three boiled egg whites

Lunch
Edamame Confetti Salad 

Snack 2
Three boiled egg whites

Dinner
Three Pepper Souffle - Prepared it yesterday hence no cooking today.

Exercise 

ISO Speed Hammer

Additional Notes -
Did get headache today, like yesterday. Will take a painkiller to just have these two days pass by.

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 10(W2)

The most dreaded days of Fast Metabolism Diet, phase 2 two days. I thought it is scary for vegetarians or eggitarians(I know that is not a word) like me; but when reading few blogs I realized that even meat eaters find the meat not so appetizing as it is lean meat. Anyways I am feeling good so I am all set to do the Week 2 phase 2. I think I am already pumped up to do Week3 as well.

Breakfast
Veggie Omelete(egg whites) + Lime juice(Stevia)

Snack 1
Three boiled egg whites

Lunch
Edamame Confetti Salad - few words on this. This is a very basic salad and I never thought I would like it so much; it is indeed very yummy and I look forward to eating it.

Snack 2
Three boiled egg whites

Dinner
Three Pepper Souffle - This recipe is also growing up on me, I have started to enjoy this. I made on first day of phase 2 and it is going to be my dinner for tomorrow as well. Though it is egg white, it tastes fine even after reheating in microwave on day 2 of phase 2. Highly Recommend.

Exercise 

Hammer Power - This was a tough workout with maximum weight going till 25+25 pounds. 40 minutes session.
Additional Notes -
Ok I have to confess, I weighed myself again today and guess what the scale is stuck at the same number. But I have kind of learned to ignore the number on scale as I feel good. I am 100 percent sure my measurements would have changed(though I do not have an exact benchmark, I have measurements from like 2 months back). I feel lighter and brighter. 

Also I have been drinking Chlorophyll drops during this phase and hoping that it will help in detoxification.

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 9(W2)


I had a bit of a disappointment today morning when I weighed myself and my weight is again stuck at 144 pounds. I was planning to go below 140, may by this weekend. 

One thing I am proud of is, yesterday was a emotional day for me, full of stress and I think I handled it well, just one breath at a time.  Today is the day to prep for phase 2(toughest phase of this diet, so so much gets done during this week that I am excited for it now)

Breakfast
Oatmeal + Apple + cinnamon

Snack 1
Mangoes

Lunch
Minestrone Soup with Wild rice

Snack 2
Apple + Ginger Aid tea

Dinner
Vegetable Stir fry + Millet+Chickpea - Had a disaster yesterday when I burned the stirfry and then burned the millet. Left overs are very little, but the food was enough yesterday and hopefully will be enough today.

Additional Notes -
Took Probiotics today morning, hoping that it will help in controlling bloat and headache. Energy level has not been so good today; may be because I slept late yesterday; staying up late is not my jam and I better not do it again!!

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 8(W2)

So a new week started, I had few left overs from the last week

Breakfast
Oatmeal + Apple + cinnamon

Snack 1
Mangoes

Lunch
Minestrone Soup with Wild rice

Snack 2
Apple + Ginger Aid tea

Dinner
Vegetable Stir fry + Millet

Again headache, I hate that I have to go through this every Monday. There are some remedies posted by bloating and headaches will try those, i think one of them being probiotics. I think I have to eat early breakfast, i delay it too much in the morning. Lets see what happens tomorrow. Tomorrow is meal prep day for Day 3 and 4(toughest days of the week). I think I am easing into the Diet. 

Fast Metabolism Diet - Day 6 and 7(W1)

Weekends are usually considered the nemesis of any diet or even clean eating. I wont be surprised when people say they ate so clean all week but weekend eating and binging undid all the hard work of the week. Well thanksully I was not so bad on my day 6 and 7, not perfect but not completely derailed. Here is a brief overview of what i ate

Day 6
Breakfast
Tapioca+ cinnamon+cashews

Snack 1
Cashews+ coconut chips

Lunch
Rice(Had to eat white rice as I was too lazy to cook brown rice)+Spinach Dal+ cabbage


Snack 2
Veggies. But we went out grocery and I was staving by the time we were back, had to buy roasted grams from Indian grocery store, not the healthiest choice, but that was the best I could think of when resisting my temptation to eat some yummy Indian food.

Dinner
Rice Noodle Soup


Day 7
Breakfast
Oatmeal+ cinnamon+cashews+coconut flakes

Snack 1
Cashews+ coconut chips

Lunch
Rice(Had to eat white rice as I was too lazy to cook brown rice)+kidney beans+roasted cauliflower


Snack 2
Hummus + Veggies. Again went out and was super hungry, so ate some popcorn.

Dinner
Black Bean+Wild Rice+ roasted brocolli

If you ask me I think I survived well, It could have been lot worst as the temptations are many. so far so good.

Now the big question, how much weight did I loose. Well Saturday I weighted myself and I was at 142pounds(which is like 4 pounds less than on last monday); however on sunday I weighted 145 pounds(really can a person fluctuate so much in a day). Anywho, I have decided not to bother too much about the number on scale. I am feeling leaner and better and that what matters.
